Alyssa, a New York native, has always been a fitness & wellness enthusiast and is happy to share the benefits with others.
An integrated approach to wellness and fitness is valued by Alyssa. She is motivated to help people feed good and live a better life through connecting the mind/body by way of movement and proper alignment in the body, as she believes movement and balance are the keys to a fulfilling and healthy lifestyle.
Alyssa believes pilates is beneficial for everyone, no matter the age, weight or health condition. Experience has proven that pilates is an extremely positive complement to any other fitness routine, while also a dynamic enough practice to be one’s main fitness regimen.
A better understanding of one’s body is something that can be taken away from sessions with Alyssa. Gaining awareness about one’s self and applying that knowledge to one’s everyday, functional life is valuable.
She is comprehensively certified in all common pilates apparatus and has worked with clients with various conditions and special populations, both in-home and in-studio. A particular interest of Alyssa’s is the pre/post-natal population. Alyssa combines various methods, such as classical pilates and physical fitness conditioning, with modern research and she values continuing education.
In addition to pilates, Alyssa regularly does HIIT workouts, spin, and enjoys dancing, various types of music, as well as learning about different cultures through food.
